USA units mod 0.1 beta


This is an expansion of the F-5A mod, adding 2 more USA units for testing. It also adds modified versions of the Generals single player campaigns, play them to find out what's new in them.

The 2 new units added to US factions are:

Alvis FV-101 Scorpion Tank


This is a cheap, fast moving, but lightly armed and armoured recon tank. It is useful for scouting out the map and harassing the enemy's supply gatherers.

Unlike the GLA Scorpion tank, it cannot be upgraded with rockets. However, it can be upgraded with machine guns to give it anti-infantry and anti-aircraft capability when you put any armed infantry inside it. It has space for 2 infantry who can fire out of it.

Cadillac Gage V150 Armoured car


This APC is amphibious and can swim in water (provided you find a beach where it can get into the water, it cannot go down cliffs into water).

It can carry 6 infantry who can fire out of it.

It comes with a 40mm automatic grenade launcher, effective against infantry and light vehicles, and also against garrisoned infantry. It also has a light machine gun.

When you put any armed infantry inside it, they can operate an additional 50 cal machine gun turret on the back, which gives it anti-air capability and added firepower against ground units.






This is a single unit mod made mainly to demonstrate how to utilize a 3D model of the jet i made for someone who is making a Philippines military mod. The mod gives the F-5A Freedom Fighter to all American factions in Zero Hour. Needs Zero Hour version 1.04.


The Northrop F-5A is a small, light and relatively cheap fighter designed in the 1950's and widely exported by America to many countries.

In this video you can see the Swiss air force demonstrating the agility of this little fighter (as well as some other planes).

And in this video you can see the USAF using the F-5 to bomb the Vietnamese. After South Vietnam was taken over by the north, the Communist Vietnamese captured some of these F-5s and used them to bomb the Khemer Rouge. The Vietnamese also sent one to Russia for them to try out American aircraft. They found it was good verses the MiG-21.

And Iran is still using the F-5 and also manufacturing copies of it. You can see some Iranian F-5Bs in this air show video.

The F-5 jet in this mod is cheap and versatile. It comes with 3 weapons:

20mm cannons with 30 rounds
4 heat seeking AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.

After purchasing the napalm bombs upgrade, you get 2 BLU-27 fire bombs.


The mod also includes a R-F5 photo reconnaissance jet. This replaces the American spy satellite power which fires from the command centre. In addition to revealing stealth objects, you can use this to distract the enemy base defences just before you attack their base.
